Hi, well I have been really busy quilting these last few months, and am nearly caught up for the end of the year. I have also finished a bag that I made with a friend , its called an Everyday Carry All by Blue Willow Designs, its a wonderful bag, has 8 pockets for all sorts of bits and pieces, I have also started another one which is still in progress. Its just such a great bag.
Other than that, well, we went down to Melbourne last weekend to meet up with friends and went out for tea in a street near Lygon St, it was lovely, lovely food and great company. Lots of fun then a girlfriend and I went to Chadstone on Sunday for the day while the others went to the golf, we had a lovely time, that shopping centre is so big these days, very easy to get lost in.
One of my friends quilts was published in a magazine ad in Patchwork and Quilting, its one that I quilted, its very exciting. And I also learnt that two other customers quilts that I have quilted won 1st prizes in local shows. Its all very exciting. And on that note, I'll now put some pictures of my new bag up for everyone to see.

Ok, I haven't finished any more quilts, they are all waiting for me to do little bits on them. One of my favourite quilt shops is closing down, it is very sad and will be missed greatly. I have managed to put another quilt top together and start another one, oh when will I learn. I just can't resist all that fabric and the ideas that seem to come as soon as I start a top. I will have to start giving some away to where they are supposed to be going. Now just to do some labels and then I will have 3 totally finished and be able to post them, I'd better get on with it, so see you later.

My next WIP finished

Hi, Well its not quite finished yet so there's no photo yet. Its a quilt I started for my mother, oh about 8 years ago, so it has been a long time in the making, the trouble was that I started quilting it and then couldn't decide what else to do on it so it got shoved in the corner ( you know the one) and left until last year when I was having a finishing wip year, and i pulled it out of the corner to have a look, well, I decided to unpick the border and the pattern I had put in the fans and redo them, they look much better now. The quilt pattern is out of a Patchwork and Quilting magazine, with my quilt pattern in the middle. If anyone is interested in the number of the magazine I will try to find it before I put its photos on.
Til next time, see ya.

Hi, this is my first blogging experience, so please be kind, I am a machine quilter and run my own longarm quilting business called Blue Wren Quilting. I have been quilting probably all my life well, from high school anyway, the first quilt I made was a whole cloth cot quilt and I can still remember drawing up a grid for the crosshatching on tissue paper and sewing it. Its still here somewhere in a draw. I decided to make a blog to help me with my WIP's (works in progress) because there is quite a few. They are getting less tho as there was a few finished this year, one of the more recent ones is a Japanese one that was a block swap with some lovely women in Qld which is the first one up on the blog, I have quilted a double baptist fan over the whole quilt in a darker blue thread. Well thanks for looking at my blog, I hope you enjoyed it. And I'd like to thank my sister for making her blog which encouraged me to make mine.
